Varsity Volleyball Wins Their 7th Straight Match

The Crusader varsity volleyball team wins their seventh straight match of the season to remain undefeated in region play. NCA was in command from the beginning to the end against the Calhoun Academy Cavaliers holding the Cavaliers to 12 points or less in each set. Non starters for the Crusaders all saw extended playing time upholding the standard of play expected from NCA varsity volleyball.

14 Aces were recorded by the Crusaders along with 28 kills. A fine team hitting percentage of .396 with four players over 400 led by Alexa Brownell’s .600 with no errors. Lauren Reynolds garnered 11 kills and four of the aces. Emily Colby continued her fine season setting delivering over 20 assists for the match.

Defensively, Kaitlyn Banks, Reynolds, and Brownell patrolled the back row delivering the passes to Colby. At the net, Mia Schumpert came off the bench to contribute 4 blocks, 2 for kills including the last two points of the match attacking Cavalier over passes.
