Crusaders win 3-0 with set wins being 25-17, 25-20 and 25-8. The Generals played with energy and tenacious defense in the first two sets, but the Crusaders exploded in the third set to capture the final set in dominating fashion.
The OH’s, Lauren Reynolds and Alexa Brownell along with MH Kailyn Koontz all had good nights, but sophomore MH Regan Funderburk was outstanding with 7 kills and a hitting percentage of .700. Setter, Emily Colby delivered sets throughout the contest to all the hitters. The combo of Colby to Funderburk was unstoppable.
The serving prowess of Colby, Kaitlyn Banks and Reynolds led to the downfall of the Generals in the third set as they were out of system throughout the set.
Volleyball returns to action next Tuesday traveling to Calhoun Academy.
