Northside’s Middle School Cross Country runners competed at Hammond’s Middle School Meet on Tuesday, September 14th. The meet was a 2-mile race in which Northside competed against Ben Lippen, and the host team, Hammond. For the Boys, Noah Greene lead the way, finishing with a time of 15:03, good for 13th place overall in the Boys race. William Cochrane followed closely behind Greene, finishing with a time of 15:19, and placing 16th overall. Trenton Manzi rounded out the race for the Crusaders. Manzi raced well finishing with a time of 17:47, and finishing 29th overall.
Madison Gause continues to have a great first season, and looks to be a strong building block for the future. Gause finished with a time of 15:23, and placing 5th overall. This marked the third time this season that Gause finished in the top 5. Gause previously finished 2nd overall at CIU’s Palmetto State Cross Country festival (in a 2-mile run), and she also placed 2nd overall in the JV Girls 5K Division at the Highlander Invitational, which was hosted by Heathwood Hall.
