The Northside Christian Academy Middle School Boys team completed the SCISA portion of their scheduled unblemished against SCISA competition and earned the SCISA 2A Region I Championship with a convincing 72-35 win over Orangeburg Prep on Monday February 7. The Crusaders controlled the game from the outset jumping out to 22-5 lead after one period before enjoying a 40-17 advantage at the half. NCA doubled up the Indians after 3 with a 56-28 lead. The reserves outscored OP’s backups 16-7 in the 4th to secure victory.
Cooper Arnold had a career high 15 points including 3 3-Point baskets. J.R. Kinard had another solid day with 13 points including 8 in the first quarter. Joshua Richardson posted a season high 7 points while Jeremiah Howard added 7 as well. Bishop Allen posted a career best 6 points to help the cause. Luke Bohnsack and Sam Taylor both had 5 points. Luke Cromer and Hunter Peeler each had 4 points. Josiah Richardson contributed 3 points, Bryson Johnson 2 and BJ Suits 1 to complete the scoring.
The Crusaders celebrated with the Region Championship trophy following the game and improved to 15-2. They will close the season on Thursday at 5PM against a non-Region for Clear Dot Charter.
