MS Boys Basketball Defeat Cardinal Newman 44-17

The Northside Christian Middle School Boys basketball team remained unbeaten in SCISA play with a 44-17 win at Cardinal Newman. The Crusaders full court pressure defense set the tone early as they sprinted out to a 15-3 lead at the end of the first quarter. NCA widened the margin to 13 at the intermission with a 22-9 advantage. The cushion was extended to 19 thanks to a 14 point 3rd Quarter to secure a 36-19 lead after 3. The Cardinals were held scoreless while NCA tacked on 8 more points for the 27 point win. Luke Bohnsack poured in 16 to lead the Crusaders in points, rebounds and blocks on the day. Cooper Arnold tied his season high with 12 points all in the first half. J.R. Kinard had his tenth double figure scoring effort of the season with 10 points. Luke Cromer, Hunter Peeler and Bryson Johnson had 2 points each to round out the scoring. The Crusaders improved to 14-2 on the season and will finish unbeaten while wearing their all red road uniforms.
