The Northside Christian Academy Middle School Boys basketball team improved its record to 12-2 with a 57-32 win over Lee Academy. The Crusaders employed a suffocating press early to surge to a 20-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and held a 27-8 lead at the half. NCA stretched the margin to 31 by the end of the 3rd at 45-14. Lee was able to shave 6 points off that lead by the end of the game.
J.R. Kinard once again led the Crusaders in scoring with 14 including 2 3-Point baskets. Jeremiah Howard continues to show great development in his game and posted a career high 9 points. Luke Bohnsack provided another fine defensive effort and contributed 7 points offensively. Cooper Arnold and Sam Taylor both had 5 points. Josiah Richardson, B.J.Suits and Bishop Allen had 4 points apiece off the bench. Hunter Peeler and Luke Cromer both had 2 points and Bryson Johnson had one point.
NCA will look to remain unbeaten against Region and SCISA opponents when facing Thomas Sumter on Monday January 31 at 4PM.
