The Northside Christian Middle School Boys basketball team defeated 3A Cardinal Newman 49-20 to improve to 3-0 on the season. J.R. Kinard led the Crusaders with 14 points while bouncing back from a sprained ankle suffered last week. Hunter Peeler added 8 points. Luke Cromer had another solid performance with 6 points. Josiah Richardson came off the bench to provide 6 points as well. The Crusaders took a 25-12 lead at the break thanks in part to their pressing defense causing Cardinal Newman turnovers which resulted in easy Northside buckets.
Luke Bohnsack contributed excellent defense, rebounding and 4 points. Cooper Arnold BJ Suits and Bryson Johnson had 3 points and Joshua Richardson had 2 points to round out the scoring.
The Crusaders will try to extend the winning streak to 4 when they travel to Orangeburg Prep for a 6PM game on Thursday December 9th.
