The Crusader JV volleyball team rolls over the Thomas Sumter Generals in two sets to finish the region play atop the standings with an undefeated season. NCA was determined to stay undefeated in the first set dominating TSA 25-8. In the second set, the Crusaders lost their focus and succumbed to too many unforced errors before taking charge at the end of the set to win 25-22.
The Crusaders were excellent behind the serving line with consistency from Lilly Gowan, Molly Pantoja, Tifanne Warr and Leah Beck. NCA had a good night attacking the ball led by Beck’s 8 kills, Warr’s 4 and Ilianna Gillie and Victoria Simmons with two each. Sets were delivered by the pair of setters, Gowan and Alana Wilson.
Keeping the ball off the floor was dig after dig from Pantoja and good serve receive from her, Gillie and Maddie Coker.
The JV girls close out their season next Tuesday night at home versus Ben Lippen as the Crusaders go for their 20th victory of the season.
