The JV football team won Thursday night at Palmetto State Armory Field 38-22 over Gray Collegiate Academy. Freshman running back Jordan Conner (#22) was the biggest contributor, gaining 185 yards on only 8 carries and 4 TDs. Sam Burks (#3) chipped in 80 yards on 10 carries and a TD as well. Burks also returned an interception 41 yards for a score and broke up 2 other passes on defense. Gaven Ford (#44) had a couple receptions 42 yards and a 2 point conversion and had an awesome night on defense as well. The other guys who stood out on defense would be Jake Jeffrey (#7) (2 tackles for loss, 2 QB pressures and an interception). Braeden Patterson had his second interception of the year as well and Luke Cromer (#10) added a 10 yard reception and several tackles.
The Crusaders will return to action next Friday night away at Spartanburg Christian in a varsity game at 7:30.
