Peter Wilkerson

Boys Varsity Head Coach

Peter Wilkerson is entering his first year of coaching Boys Basketball at Northside Christian Academy. Before becoming the Head Varsity Boys Basketball coach he was previously at Chapin High School as the lead assistant for the Boys Varsity Team. There he helped lead Chapin to their first 5A playoff appearance. Prior to Chapin, Coach Wilkerson was the head JV coach at Brookland Cayce High School. 

 

Before joining the high school ranks, Coach Wilkerson coached collegiately for 5 years at Maryville College and Covenant College. While an assistant at Covenant College, Coach Wilkerson was an integral part of the school's first ever NCAA Tournament appearance.

 

Coach Wilkerson is married to Samantha Wilkerson and together they have 3 boys, Amos , Walton and Charles. When asked what excited him the most about coaching at Northside, Coach Wilkerson said, "the opportunity to coach again in a Christian environment; to spend everyday working to improve not only as a basketball team, but also getting to spend everyday honoring and glorifying Christ in our pursuit of excellence on the court."

Jordan Leath

Girls Varsity Head Coach

Jordan Leath is a young basketball coach and trainer who is highly dedicated to his craft. He has a proven track record of developing successful teams and players, having coached at Lexington High School, Lexington Middle School, Ben Lippen, and Oakbrook Prep.

 

In addition to his experience coaching at the middle and high school levels, Jordan is also the owner and founder of JLeath Hoops, a private training business that focuses on helping young male and female athletes develop their skills from youth to collegiate level. JLeath Hoops offers private and group training, as well as camps and clinics, all designed to help athletes improve their basketball IQ, skills, and character in a positive and intense environment.

 

Jordan's coaching philosophy centers on teaching student-athletes to use basketball to serve, train, and compete, all for the glory of God. He is a passionate coach who is committed to helping young athletes reach their full potential both on and off the court. His ability to motivate and inspire his players is what drives him to continue to coach and train the next generation of athletes.
